1. Use of the Site
You may use the Site for your own personal, non-commercial trip-planning and enjoyment. You agree not to:
- use the Site in any unlawful way or in breach of these terms;
- copy, scrape, republish or resell our content without permission (see Intellectual Property below);
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to, interfere with, or damage the Site.
2. Intellectual property
All content on the Site — text, photographs, graphics, logos and design — is owned by OWNER NAME or used with permission, and is protected by copyright. The photography is our own original work. You may share links to our pages freely. You may not reproduce our text or images elsewhere without our prior written consent.
3. Accuracy and no warranty
We put real care into our guides, but Scotland changes constantly — roads close, ferries get cancelled, prices rise, businesses shut, and car parks get renovated. Content is provided “as is” for general information only, without warranties of any kind. Always verify critical details (opening times, prices, road and ferry status, parking rules) directly with the relevant provider before you travel. See our Disclaimer(/disclaimer/).
4. Third-party links
The Site contains links to third-party websites (including affiliate and advertising links). We are not responsible for the content, products, services or privacy practices of those sites. Following them is at your own risk.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any loss or damage (direct or indirect) arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Site or its content — including any decisions you make about travel, routes, parking, driving or activities. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
6. User contributions
If you submit a tip, comment or photo, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it on the Site, and you confirm it is your own and doesn’t infringe anyone else’s rights. We may edit or remove contributions at our discretion.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the Site available but don’t guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the Site at any time.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date shows the current version; continued use means you accept the changes.
