Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 10 August 2026
Scottish Outposts (scottishoutposts.co.uk) wants as many people as possible to be able to use this website. We are committed to making our content accessible and aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA as far as is reasonably practicable.
What we do
- Use clear, plain language and a logical heading structure.
- Provide descriptive alt text on our photographs.
- Aim for sufficient colour contrast and readable text sizes.
- Support keyboard navigation and responsive layouts for mobile, tablet and desktop.
- Support light and dark display modes.
Known limitations
As an independent, growing site some content may not yet be fully accessible — for example, older images may lack complete alt text, and some embedded third-party content (maps, ads) is outside our direct control. We’re improving these as we go.
Help us improve
If you find something you can’t access, or you have a suggestion, please tell us — we genuinely want to fix it:
contactus@scottishoutposts.co.uk
Please include the page address (URL) and a short description of the problem, and we’ll do our best to help and to provide the information you need in an accessible format.
This statement will be updated as the Site develops.
